Fair and Silent Auction This annual event offers visitors the chance to purchase flowers, herbs and planters along with a variety of tools, artistic and practical gardening accessories, wrought iron sculptures, water gardens and antique yard furniture among other delightful finds. Professionals will be on hand to answer questions and help solve your garden problems. The silent auction, a fundraiser for Historic Locust Grove, will scores of offerings from antiques, quilts and other handiwork to art, gardening accessories and valuable gift certificates. General admission to the event, which includes a tour of Historic Locust Grove, is $5, or $3 for seniors and children age 6 to 12.

Ball This annual black-tie event has raised more than $4 million to underwrite the programs of the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, a non-profit organization founded in 1981 as the Kentucky Art and Craft Foundation. KMAC’s mission is to promote the art and craft heritage of Kentucky, and to support artists and educate the public through programming and exhibits. Gathering of the Spirits Preparations are in the works for a Gathering of the Spirits in Historic Old Louisvile, possibly the most haunted historic neighborhood in the country. Information is limited at this time, however, what we do know is: The events are centered around the Spirit Ball, a gala Costume Ball October 28, the Saturday before Halloween. This adults-only costume ball will be held at the historic Conrad / Caldwell house on St James Court and will featuring dancing, silent auction, prizes and Spirits. (Costumes Required!) Restaurants and Bed & Breakfast establishments are expected to offer specials in conjunction with the Spirit Ball. Other activities to be announced. Although tickets are not yet available, a waiting list has already been established. If you wish to be on the list, contact us and we will see that your e-mail address is added. Tickets for the Spirit Ball are expected to be in the $100 a person range and will be all inclusive. Tickets will be limited and this promises to be a sell out. We strongly recommend you reserve your tickets as soon as they are available. You may also want to consider reserving a room at one of Old Louisville's fine Bed & Breakfast establishments.
