The staff of the Louisville Landmarks Commission has compiled a brief synopsis of Louisville's Historic Districts. This work forms an excellent place to start. My sincere thanks for their wonderful work.

The following links will take you to the various documents as indicated. Some of the documents are large and may require a few minutes to download if you are using a dial-up modem. Be patient, they are well worth it. As time allows, more information and photographs will be added.

Louisville Historic Districts

This PDF document from the Louisville Landmarks Commission gives a brief history of the development of the city and the landmark districts. It is interesting reading and offers interesting photographs. Further information on the individual districts is given below.
